Subtitle / Audio Stream auto-select not working when casting from Plex app when video has not been synced to Kodi

I have Direct Paths playback enabled in Sync settings

I'm on LibreElec 11 and a recent version of PKC

When I use my Plex phone app to cast to PKC, it always asks me what audio/subtitle stream to choose, no matter what settings I use. Is this a limitation of casting? My library is not synced to Kodi; I strictly cast from my phone Plex app.

FWIW, when I do sync and initiate playback from Kodi, auto-select works. It's only with casting that it doesn't.
