Just come up against the same issue after meticulously creating a view with dozens of columns. The default alphabetic sort completely broke the report.. Any chance or reopening? |
+1 on this - no point in crafting a view as a report if the data is re-organized on display. |
Fix for mysql here: #140 Easy to apply to pg and mssql but I don't have instances handy for testing. |
Most DBAs tend to set up there columns in the order they want to see them in queries or views.
I would suggest having 2 options on column order, 1 being alphabetical like it is now and the other being in the order that the data dictionary has them in. Would be a simple fix.
