This project explicitly targets ROS1, but some thought has been put into support for ROS2. The interfaces are being designed such that a ROS2 parser could be integrated fairly easily.
With that said, there are some large hurdles to supporting ROS2, not least of which is the author's lack of experience with ROS2. Another pretty consequential problem is the non-uniqueness of ROS2 nodes, the enforcement of which in ROS1 is relied pretty heavily on by internal data structures.
