Actually... the Session API (https://docs.atlassian.com/jira/REST/latest/#auth/1/session) is giving the information for a logged in user... so it's available in Jira. They only need to pass it...

There is now an Admin API, which can (at least for all users in a domain) provide the information which is needed.
I might be able to provide a repo for this: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/admin/user-management/rest/intro/
But I first need to find the time for that.
