Describe the bug

In various video guides, it is visible that adjustments on the size of the image in the print dialog are applied in realtime. I started to use the print function now a few days ago and this behaviour is not observed on my installation. Instead, after switching to print module, the image gets a best-fit only one time. After that, any changes to the page borders are applied to the print area grey box only, leaving the actual image "as is".

A change in page orientation deletes the images, leaving a blank page with the grey box alone.

Drawing a new image frame creates an entry frame with no image in it.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select an image in either Lighttable or Darkroom

  2. Switch to Print

  3. Modify print area and watch image being unaffected by changes

  4. Change page orientation an watch image disappear

  5. Change to Darkroom

  6. Switch back to Print and watch image reappear inside print area

The described behaviour can be observed here at time 32:25: https://youtube.com/watch?v=CMwHdTuHrE8

Expected behavior

dark table should apply the changes to the image in realtime like seen here at time 8:03: https://youtube.com/watch?v=P3E2bzFbFHA

Are you using OpenCL GPU in darktable?

Yes

If yes, what is the GPU card and driver?

NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB

Please provide additional context if applicable. You can attach files too, but might need to rename to .txt or .zip
