Looking at the instructions found here: https://davidstephens.uk/ansible-nas/configuration/samba_shares/
and looking at my group_vars/all.yml it appears my samba shares should not require a password.

However attempting to mount the share (either through command line or GUI) prompts me for the password?

Is this an error on my part?

I also have the same question. I'm trying to access the shares from my mac and I can't browse any of them. I tried resetting the password for smbuser but it didn't seem to do much.

is this project active anymore? Seems like issues are simply not being solved or looked at.
