Russian Teacakes

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 1/2 c confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c nuts, ground (pecans)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Mix butter, sugar and vanilla
  3. Work in flour, salt and nuts until dough holds together
  4. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet
  5. Bake 10-12 minutes until set but not brown
  6. While warm roll in confectioners sugar.
  7. Cool, and roll in sugar again

Makes 4 dozen
