v2 should of course be history by now. But in case it's still a relevant issue with the code, possibly for upcoming use cases, let me inform you of this bug I experienced:

After migrating to v3, all custom units like "Taschen, Riegel, Kugel" got their first character removed: "aschen, iegel, ugel". "Stück, Hörnchen, Kügelchen, Fischstäbchen" became "tck, rnchen, gelchen, ischstbchen", also lacking their umlauts. Standard units like "g, ml" were not affected.
