simple-builder branch and grub install

first, thanks a lot for the simple-builder branch, it's a great place to start for OSTree and Debian :)

I'm trying to create a simple Debian Stretch with your scripts. Both deb-ostree-builder and create-deployment work without issue, but now I'm struggling with the last step: I'd like to pack the deployment directory that is generated in an image file, and boot that with QEmu. I tried to do that with virt-make-fs, but for now I can't boot the resulting image. I think a few more steps are needed to setup the bootloader.

I've read that Endless ships a custom GRUB to support the BootLoader Spec, am I correct? Does that mean that I also need this custom GRUB? Or can I use GRUB from Debian Stretch?

I think that most of my struggle comes from inexperience with QEmu and GRUB, so I will keep on searching until I find a way to make it work. Any additional advice is welcome though!
