iOctocat Wiki

iOctocat is a GitHub app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It is open source and available on the App Store

Beta testing

If you would like to join the list of beta testers, please send me your device UUID (if you don’t know what this is, please use the UUID Helper) and I will supply you with new versions as they come along.

Getting started

If you are an registered/enrolled iPhone developer you can download the app and build it for your iPhone. Otherwise you will need to buy it on the App Store.

In order to use iOctocat you will need to provide your GitHub credentials, namely your username and API token (the token can be found on your account page). You can enter the credentials in the app settings (via your devices settings app) or send yourself an email with the following link:

githubauth://USERNAME:APITOKEN@github.com

Open the link in your devices mail app and iOctocat will automatically save your credentials.
