Isn't CMake just a tool? Can't it be updated? Sorry if this is a noob question, but this discussion makes zero sense to me as a Windows user (was wondering what the difference is with Linux). |

It's needed for properly supporting Windows 64bit. Currently you can lower it to 3.10, but we may start to use some of the features to clean up the build scripts. I would recommend you update CMake: |

is is necessary use CMake 3.13?
Many distros still use 3.10, ubuntu 18.04 LTS for example.
