Expanding filtered node paths

Hi, I had a question about FilteredContainer. Currently, it returns the tree with nodes that match the filtered text, but is there any way to apply a function to these filtered nodes? I would like the filtered tree nodes to be expanded so that the user can see the node appear in the tree when searching for it, even if is hidden under a few levels of nodes that weren't expanded originally in the tree. This is probably straightforward, but I'm a bit stuck on it. Appreciate any pointers.
