Regarding Sections:

Suggestion:

  • Remove both Instructions
  • Point Users towards AppleIGC.kext in the Kernel/Add section instead. The kext enables the Intel I225-V in Catalina and newer without addtional Device Propwerties and the Kernel Patch. I've tested this on my Gigabyte Z490 Vision G Board in macOS 10.15.7 to Somoma.

Greetings.

Trying install Ventura 13.6 on Gigabyte Z490 AORUS PRO AX board with latest bios.

Config file created in according to current manual(https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/config.plist/comet-lake.html) but network controller is not visible(settings, ifconfig)

On tomato forum writes that AppleIntelI210Ethernet kext has been removed in Ventura, and now I225V Controller has native support by com.apple.DriverKit-AppleEthernetE1000 kext without patches.

The AppleIGC.kext doesn't work for me. I have a very long system startup, restart and shutdown time (monitor is off, fans turn off after some time about 30 seconds). Without kext, startup, reboot and shut down works as expected.

@rx-837 This should help:

  • Enable Vt-D in BIOS
  • Drop original DMAR table
  • Replace it with modified DMAR table without Reserved Memory Regions
  • Kernel/Quirks
    • Unselected DisableIoMapper → So Apple V-TD works
    • Enabled DisableIoMapperMapping → So Ethernet works
  • Add AppleIGC
  • Reboot
