In section Nested models, collection types, and complex types, for me validation for complex objects works without any special or further attempts. I think it is already included by ASP.Net version 6.

I think a NEW issue makes sense if you want to ask them about this. Don't add a comment on this to their 28640 because that issue is just for rolling the package/features in. I think you're more asking about the situation today with the package/features, so I think it probably should be a new/separate issue from that one.
