Based on the error messages in these reports, there's a very good chance that there's already a second copy of the application running. If this is still reproducing, can you double check that you don't have any other copies of your application running in the background? |

I'm certain that I only started one instance of the program, as I have restarted my computer. Moreover, even when I manually change to a random port, the error still persists. I suspect there might be some reason causing it to start twice. |

Considering that the error screenshot references IPv6 addresses, I'm suspicious this is an IPv6 networking issue (likely the last entry in your hosts file for localhost is [::1], but your IPv6 network either has some particular firewall settings that are preventing us from binding addresses. We've made some improvements that'll ship in 8.1 that will allow overriding the IP type (IPv4 vs IPv6) that is preferred for binding service ports. Once 8.1 ships, you can set the Since there isn't a specific repro for this issue and it's potentially down to specific machine configurations, I'm going to convert this to a discussion. If we're able to narrow it down to a specific set of repro steps, we can convert it back to an issue. |

I have experienced this - I often just reboot my computer, which makes it certain for me that the current instance goes away. Probably not the best solution, but that's how I do it at the moment. Then I make sure not to spin up an instance of my aspire right after each other, which gives it time to remove the current spunned instance. |
