In all cases of similar issues, it's been due to the cable being too long or poor quality. When the I2S data begins to flow down the USB cable, the I2C signals in the adjacent wires are being distorted by capacitance/crosstalk in the cable and the data becomes corrupt. ~30cm is borderline, ~50cm very rarely works. Most people have had success with 15-20cm cables. |

I wonder if anyone can help, when I have my output device set to pwm in the mt-32.cfg everything works perfect, I get sound out of the Pi's audio output jack, the MiSTer logo splash screen pops up on the oled and the MT32-pi menu appears on the MiSTer's OSD.
The problem is when I set the output device to i2s, I don't get the splash screen or the OSD, sometimes I get sound but not always, could there be some sort of conflict in the settings, i2s seems to mess things up?
