@bfitzpat already tested to install it in Theia and it is working. next step is to have it in Che :-)

We now are able to bring up the extension in Che, but ran into an issue with the file dialog. See #13232

Note that when tested on plain Theia running in a local Docker instance, this extension works fine end to end. The file browse error does not surface.

Tested this PR eclipse-che/che-plugin-registry#136 - and it worked on che.openshift.io with the v3 version of the plug-in metadata. Issue #13232 is no longer a problem.
