Typecasting is carefully designed in CheckerFramework (some features include: soundly typechecks some downcasts, offer checkCastElementType option for array and casting to a type parameter) but there is no detailed description in CheckerFramework manual (https://checkerframework.org/manual/)
checkCastElementType is mentioned in the manual and links to two other places which doesn't mention the option at all.
