Opencast Studio is linked from the Stud.IP Opencast Plugin. It would be nice if the link could contain the lecture's title and the lecturer's name to be filled into the Upload to Opencast form.

Hi there and sorry for the late reply. Your request seems reasonable and is quite easy to implement.

However, I'd like to note that pre-filling the title of the lecture is not such a good idea. The single recordings should have a title describing their specific contents (e.g. the current topic) and not the full lecture. Otherwise the course would just have 20 recordings all with the same name. And if there are fields that are pre-filled, most users just won't change them. So I think keeping the "title" field empty by default is a good idea to force the user to at least think about it.

Regarding the lecturers name: that makes sense. However, it would be even better if Studio would automatically fetch a good lecturer name from the (LTI) user information. We are discussing this in this issue: #542. This will be implemented soon, one way or another.
