Kibana version: 5.5.2

Elasticsearch version: 5.5.2

Server OS version: Windows 7 64bit

Browser version: 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Browser OS version: same

Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.): zip

Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Define an index pattern with a field that should have the formatting as Bytes. I used .monitoring-es-* as it was the most convenient one

1

  1. Create a Bar visualization where define two Metrics: one is the default Count one, the other is a Median on index_stats.primaries.store.size_in_bytes (the field that was formatted as Bytes). For these define separate Y-Axis so that both of them appear on the Vizualization

2
3

  1. If the priority of the Y-Axis listed in the Viz definition is changed so that the Median one is first, then both Count and Median Y-Axis are formatted as Bytes. If the Count metric is first, then both Count and Median Y-Axis have probably the format of the Count metric. I think each Y-Axis should keep its own formatting and not use the first Metric one.

This functionality would really be useful. I need to plot the number of occurences of an event, and the cumulative duration of these occurences ; hence, I need an axis formatted as a duration (HH:mm:ss), and one axis to count occurences (Number).

+1. I have the same requirement as @FrancoisDB.
