@bmorelli25 Do you think you might have some bandwidth to help with improving the copy? The current texts are directly grabbed from our elastic.co webpages.

@cauemarcondes When you have time, could set up a PR that removes the Try it out section? We can use that for updating the copy and illustration when they're ready.

Oops, accidentally hit enter 😂. That's what I get for typing in the box. We have a discussion thread on slack. I'll add a new comment with suggestions soon.

@bmorelli25 with me or @renuhermon from the Observability PMM team are happy to help with the copy. We will wait for your suggested copy here, and drop any comments (if needed) at the point. Thanks!

Sorry to block for so long. We discussed and came up with a few notes. In general, we felt it made more sense to lead with active verbs.

Logs — We mention ELK on the website as people are searching for that term, but we felt it didn't make sense to use it here. We'd also like to see more product benefits.

Tail log files, analyze trends, automate anomaly detection, and perform powerful searches.

Metrics — Similar conversation. It'd be nice to talk about more of the benefits.

Add metrics that correlate with your logs in minutes. Find hotspots, monitor containers, visualize metrics, and more.

APM — Can the current text be said more concisely?

Visualize how your services interact and where they’re spending time, so you can quickly fix issues and problematic code.

Uptime — ok

React to availability issues across your apps and services before they affect users.

Gail also commented on the title of the page: Observability built on the Elastic Stack. We like the website's tagline instead: Unified visibility across your entire ecosystem.

That's what we've got so far! @asawariS / @renuhermon We'd love to hear any ideas you have.

I generally like the direction of these a lot. Dropping a few rough thoughts/suggestion without knowing the char count we are working with. @renuhermon can work directly with you from the PMM side. She has done lots of work on Observability copy, so should be able to come up with much better options here.

Tail log files, analyze trends, automate anomaly detection, and perform powerful searches.

SUGGEST Tail log files, analyze trends, automate anomaly detection, and perform powerful searches.

Add metrics that correlate with your logs in minutes. Find hotspots, monitor containers, visualize metrics, and more.

SUGGEST Ingest metrics from your infrastructure, apps, and services. Visualize trends, detect and alert on anomalies, forecast behavior, and more.

Visualize how your services interact and where they’re spending time, so you can quickly fix issues and problematic code.

SUGGEST Trace the end-to-end journey of a transaction through distributed architecture, map how services interact with each other, and automatically spot performance bottleneck to do

React to availability issues across your apps and services before they affect users.

SUGGEST Proactively monitor the availability of your services, sites, and ? to detect and resolve issues before they impact your users.

Thanks for the ping!

I've dropped my ideas for each product into this Google doc.

Feel free to make comments directly there 😄

@bmorelli25 Can I ask you to open a PR that has the copy updates based on what you arrive on here? I'm not available from tomorrow until Wednesday but would like to see this be implemented when possible.

@bmorelli25 I assigned you to this issue since you mentioned you'd open a PR fixing it. Can you also tag it to be closed when you merge the PR, please?

If you need help just let me know!
