Error creating divi workspace

Problem Description

I encountered an error when trying to create the divi extension workspace

After several failed attempts at solving this problem, like these and these, I ended up with something that seemed to load the 2017 visual studio build tools, but the create-divi-extension was still trying to use 2019 path related files. I finally ended up finding the VS Installer and it had both the 2019 and the 2017 visual studio tools installed, but the 2019 had an 'update available' notice. So I updated it. After that, the same VS Installer had a button to launch, which opened a command window. I tried again,
npx create-divi-extension my-extension
and this time it ran and asked me questions and finished building the env.
