Steps to reproduce

  1. Send a message
  2. Something goes wrong - you get a nice red (!) error icon next to it
  3. It doesn't tell you what it went wrong

Outcome

What did you expect?

Some way to find out what went wrong - e.g. tap on the (!) to show the error as well as the "cancel / retry" msg. Errors could be things like:

  • Network error
  • Server inaccessible
  • Account suspended MSC3823
  • You're muted (in other words: insufficient PL to send msgs)
  • Untrusted devices in the room, refusing to send

What happened instead?

No way to see what's going wrong.
