Room update flicker (iOS18)

Steps to reproduce

Force close the app
Open the app, then a room from the timeline
See only one message, the rest are loading
After a second the messages load, and then the screen flickers.

Outcome

What did you expect?

all messages to be there when opening a room, not just one (I think that’s a separate issue covered elsewhere)
No flicker to happen

A minor point but takes the magic off a bit.

What happened instead?

The screen flickered. And it’s reproducible using the steps above.
