Personally I'd recommend GPLv3 or GPLv2 as Vim itself has a GPL-compatible license.

Thanks for the interest FedericoCeratto. I'm actually not sure what's the license of the original script that I built from. I just asked the author.

My personal preference for my modifications is just public domain or MIT, but I'll put notices once I know what the original author (Jeroen) prefers for his work.

Jeroen has said his work is MIT Licensed: https://twitter.com/elzr/status/294964017926119424 I'm following his lead and releasing my mods under MIT too. Thanks for asking!
