Apple M1 support

Is it possible to update the dependencies so this can be installed/ran on an M1 mac?

Hi @markhalliwell Sorry this has sat for so long, I wasn't watching this repo for activity for some reason... Oh, well, I am now.

To your question, we definitely want to! I'll be getting a new mac in late November when they ship, so I'll have the ability to do some testing and debugging at that time.

If you've been able to work out any issues you came across, a PR would be MOST welcome! Until later this year/early next year though, we probably won't have the ability to test anything on an M1 mac, so this will have to wait a bit for our support.
