The (planned, not yet merged) code for automation isn't that complicated since it relies on GitHub Dependabot for most of the heavy lifting. The code for GKE Automation stands are barely 60 lines, so it's not really that complicated. I'm okay with adding additional languages for automation as long as merges well with how the remaining automation framework works (Keep latest versions in _data files, and use those as data lookups inside Jekyll). Especially if automating something specific is much easier in $LANG compared to Ruby. Ruby is the obvious first choice here, because we use Jekyll (built on Ruby), and it lets us avoid the complexity of two languages. Did you have any specific contribution in mind? For some specific product perhaps? |

I would like to contribute to automate, but I don't know Ruby and don't have time to learn new language.
