There's prior discussion about 'tab groups': #274, #36 from before Firefox's 'containers'.

There's another plugin that provides a similar sidebar and groups by container:
container tabs sidebar

But it seems otherwise less polished than tabcenter-redux.

Any chance of this or something similar (there was more support for the idea of meta-tabs at the top of the sidebar to switch between which group of tabs were listed in the linked issues) being an optional feature? 🙂

Use-case: I keep a lot of tabs open, and try to keep them sort of grouped by order in the sidebar, and then when it becomes unmanageable move a 'group' to a new window (e.g. 'something I'm looking into at home' & 'work' windows) - I don't currently use container tabs, but just happened across that other plugin and liked the idea. I recall wishing container tabs were instead named windows when they were announced, for the same reason.

Well it’s been more than one year that this project hasn’t seen an update, you should try the successor Tab Center Reborn.

I personally think that it would be better to implement sorting by container as a separate extension.
