Can you please post instructions on how to install netbeans-django in
netbeans? I've tried to build it but I get all kinds of errors.

Also when I go to open the python.platform file I get: netbeans.org-type
module requires at least nbbuild:
/home/tb/Desktop/netbeans-django/python.platform

I also tried to build it but got stuck at the following error:

Error: cannot find symbol
symbol : method getConfigFile(java.lang.String)
location: class org.openide.filesystems.FileUtil

it seems like my filesystem package is outdated or something and doesn't
contain the
mentioned method. i tried to find a way to update it but to no avail.

since i know nothing about java or how netbeans actually work (was gonna give
it my
first try with this promising plugin) any ideas greatly appreciated.

regards
primski

I'm working on fixing, but no more spare time in last weeks.
I'll try to fix it in the weekend.

Hi,

Great! I am really liking netbeans. It will be even better when it has even
partial
django support! Do you think you could release a pre-built plugin? or are
plugins
particular to OS?

I built the source into an NBM using 6.7 nightly (051309):

only the python.django project would build but I was able to create an NBM. I
installed the SuiteInstallerModule and other NBM related plugins (i used the
searchbar for nbm ||  suite).

it built an nbm. I installed the nbm, activated it and sure enough I have two
new
templates for django project and from existing source.

however. I cannot get these new projects to actually build, they crash saying
there is:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No Ant-based project factory for type
org.netbeans.modules.python.django.project

ideas?

I can't understand how developers work for a project and don't do a small HOW
TO.

Don't you, developers, want that this extension be a great thing? If you want
that
you need to create a how to early in the beginning to have feedback.

Install 'Netbeans Plugin Development' plugin, checkout sources and open it as
NB project.
