Support for CN based authentication on grpc gateway

What would you like to be added?

Would like CN based authentication to be possible on grpc gateway. Currently only username and password method works. From etcd documentation: https://etcd.io/docs/v3.3/op-guide/authentication/#using-tls-common-name

Why is this needed?

Username and password based is not secure as compared to tls based authentication.

Hey @Freedisch - I don't believe this proposed feature is currently being worked on.

Note that there was some strong reasoning and discussion for not enabling CN for authentication on gprc gateway in #10366 so this issue may not be suited for a new contributor and it is not yet clear that the etcd community has consensus it should be worked on.
