Multi-level subtask is currently missing and I would be happy if someone could add it.
Tasks.org already supports them.

Cool. :)
I think that the moment subtasks are added in general, this will be there "for free". Maybe not in the list view, but definitely when you open a task.

Awesome! Keeping a keen eye on this.

i appreciate the fast and informative replies, Tasn. is there any estimation regarding when subtasks would be implemented?
i really dont want to switch to another service because EteSync is easy to use and has great privacy.

I implemented a basic hierarchical view in the task list. It's far from complete, but a good first step.
I plan on improving the task part very soon which will fix all of these issues.

If you have some tips on what you think should be prioritised in regards to this ticket that would be great.

are you saying youre doing all the work for the EteSync web? i would be astonished.
anyway, im not sure. just need to be able to connect tasks to other tasks while still maintaining the task features (description, date, etc.)

Not all, but the vast majority of it. There are a few great contributors that have been doing great work, but I got stuck with the less fun tasks. ;P

Look at what's there now. You can't create new subtasks yet, but at least they show in the list correctly. I hope to get to implementing everything in the next two weeks. Please chase me if you don't hear back!

i see 1-level nestedtasks! did you do that just now or were you working for a while on it?

Just did it now, but have been thinking about it for a while.

@Pleasantless

that is very neat. does this mean it will be easy for you to add tasks that are even 2 levels in a task?

Not too difficult to add 2 levels deep, though that's what I asked in my other comment about prioritisation, is this something you would be using?

mostly use 1 level, few 2 levels. if it is not a too taxing i would prefer if you added it.

I would use it but 1 level deep is already a good start ;).

Am I missing it or is there no way to create a subtask with etesync-web at the moment?

Viewing the subtasks, created with tasks works flawless, thanks.

No way at the moment, but we can implement it once EteSync 2.0 is out. We are just really busy with the release! :)
