Hi all,
We have just released FABM version 2.0. This is available from the releases page and from the master branch of the repository.
This update expands the functionality of the Python frontend to FABM ("pyfabm"), which can now operate across spatial domains (previously it was 0D-only) and supports additional APIs (get_vertical_movement, check_state, get_conserved_quantities). The update also includes rewritten, better performing code for parsing fabm.yaml. A full description of changes is available on the wiki.
For users, the main change is the new installation procedure for pyfabm.
For developers, the impact is minimal: biogeochemical models do not need any changes to work with FABM 2.0, and host models only need changes if they access biogeochemical parameters (extremely rare).
If you experience any issues after updating to the new FABM release, please report these here.
