Some dist-git configuration questions

I notice in the docker file

RUN echo 'scan-path=/var/lib/dist-git/git/rpms' | tee -a /etc/cgitrc

and the /var/lib/dist-git/git/rpms seems not existed, what this configuration mean?

Instead of using the scan-path setting, we should generate the repo configs through copr-dist-git-refresh-cgit monthly cronjob right?
