Helmfile repo has moved #4
Comments
could this be please updated @feniix ? |
No because there are no releases in the new helmfile repo, see https://github.com/helmfile/helmfile/releases |
Hey |
Affirm - this plugin is now broken as there is no releases in the new repo. |
@feniix |
No, I cannot fix this until the new repo starts distributing binary versions again. AFAIK asdf is not meant to "download and build" releases, only get binary files and put them in the correct locations |
Also, this plugin is not broken, it just does not use the new repo because it does not have releases see: $ asdf install helmfile 0.138.0
0.136.0 0.138.0 0.138.2 0.138.4 0.138.7 0.139.1 0.139.3 0.139.5 0.139.7 0.139.9 0.140.1 0.142.0 0.143.1 0.143.3 0.143.5
0.137.0 0.138.1 0.138.3 0.138.6 0.139.0 0.139.2 0.139.4 0.139.6 0.139.8 0.140.0 0.141.0 0.143.0 0.143.2 0.143.4 0.144.0 |
Thanks @feniix for reverting the repo url: c339cf4#diff-f9746898bdf5ee311b5c55bc0b6d8c64901f52940c591089b3bfbda5f5b26c8aR26 |
Also thanks from us. I think you'd be surprised how many people use this plugin @feniix :) We had 1000's of pipelines fail for us with this change. |
@feniix the first release in the new helmfile organization has been published yesterday: https://github.com/helmfile/helmfile/releases/tag/v0.145.0 Note: while roboll's releases contained only the helmfile binary, helmfile's one(s) are tar.gz archives containing also a LICENSE and README.md files. |
Can the plugin have support for both old and new repos, so all versions can be installable? This is an issue for our CI so I would be happy to contribute a fix if it will be accepted. |
The best would be to ask helmfile maintainers if they can publish old releases in the new repository. (idk if it's easily possible) |
I can ask them to do that but in the meantime would a pull request adapting asdf-helmfile to pull from both places be acceptable? |
Filed #5 to fix this issue |
Submitted helmfile/helmfile#205 requesting transfer of releases to new repo upstream |
Beautiful! greatly appreciate the PR!!! |
Helmfile repo has moved. (see roboll/helmfile#1824)
New releases will not work with this plugin.
