At this point you should have a sticky note or something handy where you've put the DB Name, DB Username, DB Password and Port ready for the next steps.

I wish there was a better solution provided by IT...

If all goes well, with the MVP we have been discussing, the user will never even have to see the password (or any other db connection info).
