Buffer index is too large #136

I have no idea why the buffer index is so large since I only open a few buffers.

Are you using the gitgutter plugin? I recently discovered that I only seem to get these huge numbers when that plugin is enabled.

I can't live without gitgutter. Is there any alternative?
