What is a problem?

We are encountering an issue with slow_flush while Mcafee/Trellix endpoint is running on the host. We have excluded the folders C:\opt, C:\Var and the processes ruby.exe and osquery.exe. 
Is there a known list of antivirus exclusions? 
Anyone experiences with impacts from real-time scanning?
