  1. I think there is no way to obtain https://www.dropbox.com/sh/pgSHORTENED again so one should probably use https://www.dropbox.com/sh/examplelink/examplelink?dl=0. I observed that the ?dl=0 part was important.

  2. It should be said that the download continues well after the sync menu says the normal sync is done
