Can't edit kobocloudrc

I'm doing this on a Mac OS X 14

I've been able to install this previously, but due to updates I had to reset my device & now I cannot complete the last step of the process where you edit kobocloudrc to add the link to your shared folder.

Whenever I open kobocloudrc it immediately says "process completed" & I can't type anything into the document. Is there any way around this?

I think I solved it & the trick was to open kobocloudrc with an editor that was not Mac OS's Terminal (I used Atom)
