Centering or Clearing Container

I'm trying to center just the MAIN part of the container section.

I have the container set to "remove container" so that the left menu (sidbar-a) will be all the way on the left. But then I loose the center formatting for the particles under "main".

I would like to keep the sidebar-a on the far left while retaining the inherited properties for everything under the MAIN section of "container". I hope that makes sense.
