Glitch weapon not available? #17

I want to add a glitch level weapon to my backpack, but I find it always turn into a red balance box and nothing shows up in the boxes below.

How should I use this tool to do so?

BTW, the glitch level weapon is introduced in the Claptastic Voyage DLC
