We would be more than happy to have Buffalo depend on our fork. I don't know what the maintenance story is like for buffalo repos, but we have quite a few people to help make sure our fork is supported.

No pressure if you'd prefer to maintain the dependency yourself. 👍

There’s already an issue for it :) gobuffalo/pop#188 it just needs someone to make it happen and we’ll archive this repo like a hot potato.
