What is the equivalent for glide-vc? #977

We are looking to move to dep from glide. We use https://github.com/sgotti/glide-vc glide plugin. Does something like this exist for dep today?

dep prune is the closest equivalent, but it's not configurable in the same way that glide-vc is.

note that we're looking to absorb prune into ensure - #944 - at which point it will gain some additional configurability.
