What's the shortest path to getting a Windows binary for the UI?

I'm trying to determine if it's worth picking up Orbit for profiling on Linux, with a strong preference for running the UI element on Windows. I've read the various readmes and have no issues with the necessary port forwarding.

However I am finding getting a Windows binary problematic - is there a way to cross-compile for Windows using the Linux build, or could we get a Windows binary added to the release artifacts?

I'm happy building on Linux, but with Windows every single step is requiring digging through build files to figure out what should be happening vs what did happen.

Currently I've installed the Orbit release package in WSL/Ubuntu and running with the Wayland support from WSLg. Seems convoluted and bit wasteful of client system resources but functions:

Powershell:

wsl --install -d Ubuntu

Ubuntu:

curl curl https://github.com/google/orbit/releases/download/nightly-2024-04-25/orbit_1.86dev-480-gd863597a5-1.jammy1_amd64.deb --location -o /tmp/orbit.deb

# install the orbit package
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

# foward to remote
