I'm banned from all interactions within the Godot Engine community

I'm notifying all Goost contributors and other people that @godotengine in the person of @akien-mga has decided to ban myself (@Xrayez) from all interactions within the Godot Engine community. This means that I'm unable to participate in places like:

• GitHub (unable to comment and create pull requests)
• Godot Contributors chat (banned)
• Discord (banned)

For those wondering why this happened: this has a long story, if you'd like to know the entire context behind this, look here: #199. I also used to be a member within @godotengine organization in 2021, and they decided to remove my privileges at that time. See the following discussion:

I'm not the only one who got victim to this. If you're such a person, please contact me. I'm ready to defend your rights given that you provide proof of Godot PLC's (project leadership committee) misconduct and unjustified actions, and everyone who represents Godot officially.

The fact that I'm banned from all interactions within the Godot Engine community means that I'll be unable to properly fulfill the vision behind Goost development (see our motto: "Let it be in Godot"). But that doesn't mean that Goost contributors cannot fulfill this vision themselves.

In any case, I certainly feel a little bit demoralized now, especially within the context of the Russian war against Ukraine. But promoting democratic values is my highest priority, and I've always done that even before the war. I'm not talking about a democratic way of organization, because it doesn't describe Godot indeed. I'm talking about the democratic values of the world itself and the human rights that constitute those democratic values. If @godotengine claims to be a "Worldwide" organization, it must act accordingly.

out of curiosity (and a bit off-topic) which features Godot lacks that you need to your project?

Basically, mostly all features that you see here in Goost are the features that I see lacking in Godot. One of the top features that I see essential for my project is destructible stuff, for instance see my tweet.

I'm going to be frank about this.

It boils down to the belief system of "Unity is bad", which doesn't necessarily reflect the reality. I have told numerous times how Godot's propaganda affects this belief system. But there's a fact that cannot be ignored about Unity: there are thousands of job opportunities available in Unity (and only a handful of Godot jobs at the moment, but those stem from Latin America/Español market). Even then, I've had an experience with a development studio where they initially chosen Godot, but then decided to switch to Unity, because a client just wanted to save money without understanding the cost of using Godot in the long run, not to mention the lack of some features and console support. At the same time, I don't think comparing Unity to Godot is even justified, they aren't on the same ideological level.

I mean, I don't defend Unity either. It may be shitty, but it's less shitty than Godot, as seen by the sheer amount of Unity adoption within the game development community. I'm tired of having a belief system of "this will be implemented eventually" in Godot as well. If the situation is as disastrous as you describe it, something else will appear that will replace it, I guarantee it. And it won't be Godot, since it's driven by propaganda and the political agenda of woke culture. Just look at Blender's Code of Conduct, and Godot's Code of Conduct, and you'll understand what I'm saying.

So, I'm not sure what you imply by "only one direction to fly", because there are numerous directions to choose from. This is exactly what describes Godot's mentality: "You should choose us, and not them", but that's a contrived belief.

I don't expect you to follow me or agree with me either.

The Unity mass migration has started seems to be.
Godot portals are flooded with topics like "From Unity to Godot", "Godot-Sharp" and things like that.
Even on the official Unity Reddit there's a main section called "Switching to Godot?"

Don't pretend to backseat. Only looks like you're implied emotionally on a deception involving Godot Team.
You're not the first I see on that position, and probably not the last.
But if I would you, only would stop to being implicated too much on development, but still using it and interact with other Godot devs.
At least you don't must marry with them, you know?

I don't pretend anything, I'm not sure what you mean by that. Regardless of whether you think that my actions are just emotional, facts are stubborn things. If Godot leadership won't change their attitude towards contributors, I forecast eventual downfall of Godot.

Indeed.

The reason why YuriSizov haven't told you the reason why I'm permanently banned in Godot is because YuriSizov is the actual cause that lead to my ban. The fact that I'm an Ukrainian and that I have contributed to Godot's development for the past 5 years haven't stopped Akien (project manager) from banning me from all official Godot community platforms (including GitHub).

He also changed his nickname from "pycbouh" to "YuriSizov" right after Russian invasion of Ukraine, because his old nickname means that he's a "Russian Warrior", therefore he wanted to hide this from the public. And looks like Akien defends YuriSizov (pycbouh) because he's a donator/sponsor, but other people confirm YuriSizov's offensive behavior in Godot.

So basically, Akien banned me for questioning Russian decency, specifically talking about "YuriSizov", he's quite troublemaking in Godot, and now he has become a maintainer in Godot organization...

All in all, this has a long story. After the fact that Akien permanently banned me, I decided to write on Twitter, and share my story on this matter. If you'd like to understand why the hell this happened, you can read my thread at Twitter.

WARNING: if you want to remain ignorant about Godot's governance model, I advise against reading what follows:

Yep I got (IP)Banned probably because I had the text "what my pronouns are? i'm a male" in my bio. Not going to remove it. If i can't come back so be it. The staff in this discord is way to 'woke' unfortunately. And no my opinions don't change by them banning me.
