Device trust web login not working for SSO users #44598

Expected behavior:

Device trust web works as advertised, regardless of login method.

Current behavior:

Device web tokens are not being issued for SSO logins, thus Connect never prompts the user.

Bug details:

  • Teleport version: v16.0.0 onwards
  • Recreation steps: see above
  • Debug logs: not necessary
