If the text is,

xy

for regex (x|y) then the separation of matching pattern between x and y letters is not clearly seen.

Expect:
-Expect to see a color difference at least to show that [x] and [y] are separately matched, not as both together in a single match. This is not seen in current implementation. I was actually misled because of this. Had to proof with my notes - then saw the match is actually separate.
