Using OpenSnitch 1.0.0-rc5, I'm seeing the DNS in the prompt dialog. Shouldn't the destination IP be shown there?

For example, with a local DNS cache I get the local DNS IP: https://i.imgur.com/qdArLwP.png

Example using Google DNS: https://i.imgur.com/0i5znNx.png

Maybe, but in that case you wouldn't know what DNS a process is trying to resolve/connect to.
I added it to let the user know to what DNS a process wants to connect.

I think it's useful, but I may be wrong, or maybe it should be documented somewhere.

Showing the DNS is useful, but so is the domain IP which is not currently shown (and the DNS usually doesn't change). Also, at least for me showing the DNS before the domain is confusing (I expected the domain IP to be shown there), that's why I thought I'd report an issue, but of course I could be wrong :-)

mm, ok, I think I understand what you do you mean.

So just to be sure, you say that (also/only) the IP of the domain you're trying to connect to should be shown on the prompt dialog, for example:

Firefox is connecting to duckduckgo.com (52.213.95.108)

Yes, that's how I see it. You can also show the DNS somewhere else.

ok, understood. It makes a lot of sense. I'll add it to the TODO list. Thank you!

By the way, do you use ArchLinux?

No, I'm using Ubuntu (19.10) on the computer where I have your OpenSnitch fork installed.

ok, because someone asked for ArchLinux packages and I've got them ready. I thought it was you.

It wasn't me, but this was me: https://www.linuxuprising.com/2020/03/opensnitch-linux-application-firewall.html so maybe someone read that and wanted Arch packages :)

By the way, I see that the opensnitch-git AUR package switched to your fork about 2 days ago: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/log/?h=opensnitch-git
