Overview

We need to create user personas for the website and wiki to make sure we are reflecting the community needs.

Action Items

*Updated personas are in Storyboard issue

• consult comparative analysis for websites Comparative Analysis of Websites (different from data sources) and MVP Feature Prioritization  #8
• review previous survey results from literacy workshops
• review EmpowerLA website redesign survey results
• synthesize results from both surveys
  • update research plan accordingly
  • decide if we need to collect more data (via another survey)
    • develop survey and feedback

Closing out issue, the website persona will be citizens of a low data literacy, no other specific details to describe them.

After website launch, workshop personas can be built out with survey data from workshops.

I have added a link above to the video that Julien recorded regarding our Audience for the website

established 3 initial personas for the website and workshop:

• The person who knows nothing about data + has community causes they are passionate about
• The person who has used data before, in their work with community activism
• The prospective data user who is curious to know more about how data could apply to community causes

User research will target and confirm personas. Personas will be used to develop storyboards and V1 of website.

Closing for now, may open in future for edits based on research
