Overview

We need to create a guide about designing logos for designers at Hack for LA to reference when they work on logos

Action Items

The phases in the guide-making process are listed below. Each phase displayed in blue is linked to a wiki page with instructions on how to complete that phase. Open the wiki page in a new tab, copy the instructions for each part into the section labeled 'Tasks' at the bottom of this issue, and complete each task listed.

Resources/Instructions

Notes

  • Potential key aspects to include in the guide (recommended by Danielle https://github.com/daniellex0)
    • examples of related imagery
    • colors
    • typography
  • Create project logo GreenEarthOS#56 (comment)

We need a version of the logo that contains the entire wordmark... Early in a brands' life, people are not familiar with it, as the brand evolves it becomes iconic and they can drop the wordmark part of it, think Nike, Mastercard, Starbucks, etc. We are in the early stages of this brand.

  • When making this guide, create a template Figma with logo studies mockups. Use the samples from 100 Automation Figma favicon test board to get started
    • The above has a mockup of multiple toolbars so that you can put your favicon on different backgrounds and evaluate them against other recognized logos.

Projects to Check

Tasks

  • This is where you will copy instructions from the wiki page for the step you are currently on.
